About Me
I'm a communication consultant, ex-college professor and administrator, writer, knowledge junkie and occasional actress. My first love is writing, which I've done on a freelance basis on and off since college. Speaking of college, I like that too. I have an MFA in Creative Writing, an MA in Mass Communication, and a BA in Psychology. Oh, and I am graduating with an MA in Professional Communication in fall 2021). I told you I like school. I worked in broadcast operations for most of my career, but I've also done production, editing, promotion, ad/PR, Web content, technical writing/editing, radio announcing, sales, transcription, taught martial arts, worked as an animal behaviorist, vet tech and probably some things I've forgotten, I'm a proud Gen-Xer who loves reading, writing, 80's everything, history, watching the Discovery Channel, tech gadgets, learning random crap (I'm a knowledge junkie), cuddling my cats and hanging out with my son (when he can squeeze me into his calendar). My main hobby? Sleeping. What's New? Writing I'm helping a friend turn a bunch of notes into a script, which is such fun. He's a legit documentarian and retired professor with contacts interested in producing it, which is cool. But just writing it is awesome, regardless of what happens with it. I'll post more later. I may be selling copies at a table with an artist/writer friend of mine at Tampa ComicCon. It's at the end of July, so I should know more soon. But you should be able to find me where ever Bruce Boxleitner is as I fangirl out (and I don't do that often since I work in the biz). He's even mentioned in my high school yearbook LOL. He's among the few 80s actors I haven't met. It's about time Bruce! In the News I was featured in a Fox13 interview about my part in Edward Scissorhands (celebrating its 30th anniversary this year). Coming later in 2024 - The feature film Haunted Happy Hour . I worked mostly behind the scenes although I also ended up as "Mary" the chess player. Here's the IMDb page.
Also this year, I'll be making my debut as an animated character in Chorus to Dero. Check the trailer out. Being an animated background performer is SO much easier... My episode of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is available on Netflix. It's #213 "Kimmy Finds Her Mom!" (More pix on UKS page). Ballers (HBO). I think my episode is #210 (which I believe they call #20 in HBO Land, "Game Day"). Not that it matters because you can't see me in it. Like, at all. I'm on a plane with the stars behind me. Considering a PA was pretty much on my lap, I'm guessing I was waaaay off camera. But I got to meet some awesome people and cultivate my new Miami set peeps. Very fun day with new friends.
